Adventures Await Your Family in Los Cabos, Mexico

By Karla Jones

Located where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, Cabo San Lucas calls to people of all ages to explore its many beaches, go on mountain expeditions and relax in the sun. Before you call the babysitter to take care of the kids, consider bringing them along as Cabo San Lucas has many activities to keep the little ones happy while sparking their imaginations.

Theme Park Adventures at Wild Canyon

Wild Canyon is the perfect Los Cabos adventure for the teenagers in your family. This theme park near Playa El Tule along the tourist corridor of San Jose Del Cabo offers camel rides, ziplining, bungee jumping and ATV tours. One of the most thrilling adventures at Wild Canyon is hanging from the bottom of a gondola while swinging over the canyon at 229 meters in the air. If you have little kids in your family, they will enjoy the Kingdom - Baja Wildlife Sanctuary. Kids can interact with exotic animals such as parrots, macaws, iguanas, crocodiles, prairie dogs, alligators, cockatoos and love birds.

Visit Marine Life Up Close

There are many opportunities to get up and personal with marine life in Cabo San Lucas. Go swimming with bottlenose dolphins at Cabo Dolphins. There are 5 different program activities available including feeding or swimming with the dolphins, or even becoming a trainer for the day. After swimming with the dolphins, take the family on a submarine-like boat out into the ocean to view over 70 different types of fish.

Beach Fun Is Always Available

From snorkeling to surfing, there are several beaches where the entire family can play and relax in the gorgeous weather of Cabo San Lucas. Go horseback riding or take an ATV ride along the ocean at Playa Migrino beach. Swimming isn't recommended because of the strength of the waves, but you can sit back and look for whales without having to take a boat. If you are looking for other activities, you can hang ten on a surfboard and catch the perfect wave at Costa Azul or take the family to Chileno Beach to snorkle or scuba dive along the reef.
